I was born in Colorado where I occupied many childhood hours pretending to live off of the land, collecting flowers and berries to then grind them up into "medicine". I also had a healthy appetite for the arts and yoga. In 1999, I completed my first yoga teacher training at the age of 18.
In the Spring of 2009, I completed the 2 1/2 year training through the Institute of Structural Medicine under founder Donna Bajelis, a physical therapist and Hellerwork practitioner.
Currently, I am further investigating movement through a dance program at the University of Washington. I incorporate movement and myofascial release to create a comprehensive treatment plan that allows others to further facilitate their healing.
I also study herbal medicine and have trained with internationally recognized herbalist K.P. Khalsa and clinical herbalist Rosalee de la Foret. Other influences include Dr. Astrid Pujari, MD and yoga teachers Theresa Elliot, Katherine Payne and George Purvis.
“After months of near-chronic back and shoulder pain from running and trapeze injuries, Jessica was able to get to the source of my issues and had me feeling much better in a surprisingly short turn-around and I am still pain-free! In addition to the great results from her treatment, Jessica creates a very welcoming and warm environment and is an excellent communicator. She took the time to help me understand her diagnosis and recommendations and always let me know what was coming during treatment. I cannot recommend her emphatically enough!”
